    Default Shudder from rear

    Hi,
My VP berlina has just started getting a shudder/vibration from the rear end only when accelerating from standing start. It only lasts for a few seconds or so. Could this be the tailshaft causing this.
    Thanks

mate i had the exact same problem up untill last week. Went to mechanic who put in new front and rear universal joints. Fixed the problem up straight away. If its not ur uni joints (which probly could do replacing anyway) then at least u can suss out the diff while your at it

Apart from the Uni joints - try doing all notholane bushes throughout. I had same issues got new Upper/Lowing trailing arms and its all sorted.

Myn was similar to your going into gear, It still is a touch I'm was told i had play in the tail-shaft, Fixed that it's still there but a little clonk further back now, I'm now told i have play in the diff.
But after i had the tranny done it jumped forward going into gear pretty hard went back and the guy adjusted the kick down cable that helped a little.
You just might have some extra play in there i might be 100% wrong

Try the flex joint if its not the uni joint, its right neer the uni joint. things that may cause it to be the flex joint is a poorly supported gearbox and worn suspension.

    Default Diff shudders

This is a common problem, I believe that you need to add an additive into your diff cone's. They polish and start to slip, feels really bad in the car. If this is the problem and you leave it to long then you maybe up for a rebuild. No need to panic, you have the good fortune of driving a holden so the additive should be suficiant. Cheers.
