is there nany injected stock holden 308's? or are they all 304's?
No all 304's. They were produced to be under 5 litres for the touring cars. (308 was 5.1 or something) However the heads, manifold and whatnot are interchangeable. The only other one was the injected 355 found in the earlier HSV's.
The 308 IS 5.0Lt's, touring car rules required under this hence the Injected 304 is 4.9Lt's.Originally Posted by slundy

So yes you were right.
More specifically in the Group A rules cars with engines over 5 liters had to carry a bigger weight penalty than cars under 5 liters, so Holden decided it was worth losing 4 inches of engine to save a couple hundred or 150? kg of lead in the car
Cheers for clearing that up foammedia.
