hi hope sumbody can help me my vn commodore ss is playing up bad. when u go around a left hand corner it coughs and splutters for about 200 mtrs then runs ok till the next left hand corner and it is down on power a little. was thinking maybe its sumthing 2 do with the fuel pump but not sure how 2 test it. thank you for your replys.
could also be your coil pack, check to see if it is all connected properly
checked coil pack seems ok
Does it do it with a full tank of fuel or only when near empty?
thats the funny thing if it was a fuel pickup problem u would think it would happen when fuel is low but does it when ther is plenty of fuel in it
fuel filter
nah just put a new 1 of them in
hm mite sound stupid but maybe get your injectors cleaned?
nah brand new injectors also
could be your fuel pump, dunno howto test, i know howto replace thoughdone ti a few time
any1 no how 2 test the fuel pump
i have the same problem with mine but mine is when i go right around a corner i have a vn calais v6:b: :b:
last night i took my standard throttle body off my other vn ss (as have had throttle body body issues before) and put on this car. bloody thing wouldnt even start so no go ther. put original back on then checked timeing again noticed that the timing light would blink 10 or 20 times then miss a couple of blinks (had this issue on a normal car toyota hilux 4WD turned out to be the condensor on the distrubitor) So do you think my problem is fuel or electric.
I got no idea, but i had the same problem on my old Mazda 626. It was great for a year, then only lately it started dropping fuel supply when I took hard right-hand turns. With a full tank, too. If I gave it a full boot of gas, it would just cut out and splutter for a few seconds. Almost like the fuel tank had no baffles ^^
