Default Brought my VSV6 CAI 2day but have a problem

I brought my VSV6 CAI 2day got home and i was fully rareing to go to get it on.Then i came across a problem the snokel that go's from the mouth to the box does'nt sit right as my gas system is under it so the mouth wont sit flush at all.I thought about moving the gas down or accross but then i worked something else out.You know them big fat long hoses you can get from Super cheap for your pod filter well the end squash's to the oval shape like on the mouth where the snorkel attache's to.So i'm thinking of cutting that to the right length and using that to run across from the mouth to the air filter box as the big hose fits through that square hole that is already there. All this this alot easier than mover my gas thing out of the way i will still have to block a couple of little gaps up around each end of the hose where they both insert into the mouth and the box.I'm just wanting to know your opions what would be the best stuff to use to bloke any little gaps up around the ends of the hose's silicone or sikaflex ? as i think as long as it is all air tight it will work just the same as if i had the plastic snorkel to connect the mouth and airbox up.So do you all think that this will work alright and look alright ? as i'm hanging to get this fitted.

Be careful using silicone sealants on your intake as they can let off gases that may damage your throttle sensors. I'd plug the gaps with some heavy foam rubber or something. Apart from that it sounds like you've got it sorted. Nice work.

um that hose stuff.. i found sum ov it at the carwash.. it was attatched to a vacuum cleaner.. um i have it running from just next to the airbox, down under the car and through next to the radiator.. it works so good its not funny.. i bought a heat sheild and cut a hole in it so the hose goes through and have that next to the airbox so that the area behind the headlight is filled with cold air when tha car is moving works so great
Don't blame me, It's that damn percadan..
If you ask me, that stuff rots your brain...

I've installed my cai but i've left my pod on which has helped already feeding some cold air to the pod but once i run some hose over to the pod i reckon she will be alot better.
