    Default Another Problem

    Hi,
I just replaced my written off VN with a VP berlina. I have noticed that it dosent engage overdrive (5) like my VN did. In the VN you could feel it drop into overdrive about 85-90kmh and the revs dropped.
The VP dosent do this and the revs are sitting around 2000rpm at 100kmh.
    Seems too high revs .
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I wasnt sure on that i read in other posts that overdrive was like a 5th gear. Didnt realise.
Its just that in my VN there was defiante change in revs and you could feel the change at around 90kmh. My mate has a VN and it does the change at 90kmh like my old VN. But the VP there is no change from 60kmh to 100kmh.
Is it just a thing with the VP's

My mums vn sits on about 1800-1900rmp at 100 in overdrive. Its the torque coverter that makes it feel like there is a 5th gear. it catches up on itself and locks when you are cruzin at a certain speed on a flat road so you do even less revs.

if you want to find out put it in 3(or the first d whateva they have) then when your at 100 push it up to the second d then you will notice if it is changeing. i am gessing() that you dont have a tacho so you realy dont know what rpm you are doing.
