my oddo is busted. im told that all vn oddos will be stuffed by now. thats fine but is there an easy fix ?. are they cable driven or some wacky electro go.
not having it makes it hard to know when to do fluid and filter changes etc. also what happens when i sell it in 63 years time, the kays will be the same as today what will the rta say,being as they know the kays from the last sale.

Its a small cog wheel inside the dash that is made of plastic taht has just gotten old and fallen apart, most VN dashes ahev done it, you can get brass replacements off ebay for it

You must have a lot of faith in the old girl if you think she'll still be going in 63 years!!!! Maybe even we wont last that long! But for the record, I've seen plenty of VN's with working odo's.

mine went too, whilst i owned it, apparently the lube that the instrument manufacturer applied to the plastic sprockets actually makes them go brittle over time....they are electronically driven, too.
