Default Oil Leak just above sump...but where?

    Hey
My 92' VP is leaking oil all around the sump....seems to be coming from just under the big pulley which is below the water pump...well thats where i think its coming from, but oil seems to be leaking all around the sump, so i dont know...if anyone could shed some light on this, where or how to fix etc...costs...that would be great

easy to replace, not sure on price
remove the belt and harmonic balancer and have a good look to see if it's leaking from there, it should be a spring type seal, if so lightly tap a new one in using a socket or something flat to get it in nice and straight

balancer can be a bit tricky especially releasing the big bolt securing it to the crankshaft if it hasnt been off before. and you probably need a puller to get it off the shaft.

Just replaced the harmonic balancer on my VP this evening, used Doctor Bob's recipe for holding the bugger still while I was working and it worked a treat, and it's so simple, thank you Doctor.

    harmony...lol..
