With Great Horsepower Comes Great Irresponsibility
Hey had the same prob with mine. just took the inside of the door cover off and put the window back on the rails. And one of the rivits that hold the rails together was loose (i think thats why the window fell off in 1st place)so i just put a new rivit it.
it either the rails, the metal that holds in the window or the electric motor that is gettin old, pretty common on vn commodores, my calais was a bugger, tho my ss isn't 2 bad. ELECTRIC WINDOWS most people like em but when they stuff up $$$

I wish holden had put a bolt or something through the drive shaft of the motor so you could atleast wind the bastard back up. I drove around with a lump of 2 by 4 holding my damn left rear window up for months.Originally Posted by subdue
If its electric check if oyur getting current through the plug if your not cut the plug off and check that your current through wires, if its still a no your ****ed and you should probably head to an auto elec cause its gunna be a pain in the arse. If you get current through the wire but not the plug buy a new plug. If you've got current the whole way test your motor by hooking it dirrectly up to a battery.
yeah i know drive shaft i feel ya, its good i got a series II vn ss a littler better but i am awaiting the day the window stuffs up.... I agreee auto elec best friend for elec windows lolOriginally Posted by gumbs

mine ****ed up too on my drivers side and the passenger side window is just starting to get tight now. I went to a commodore wrecker and they asked $30 for one , thats better than paying $160 for the entire mechanism
