I just replaced the CAT in my car as it was leaking, now it is leaking noticably around the clamp that is located in front of the 'Y' intersection, in front of the CAT.
I was wondering what the best way to seal this up is?
Stuff it full of gasket goop and clamp it down and hope for the best?
New 2 1/2 exhaust from CAT back, now replaced CAT, gonna fix clamp, whats next the manifold gaskets? Can't i have a none leaking exhaust :b:
i have always had cats welded in place, especially if lowered, stops the leaks, but prick to change
theres that tape that you wrap around the join and then put the clamp over it, the tape melts and seals it. its abit dodgey but it only costs $4
