If you get 200,000 km out of VN fuel pump you are going well. Something over a hundred bucks for a new one. Not to hard to install. Get the back wheels up on ramps undo a few retaining screws or something like that and it twists out.

A mechanic should install it for fifty bucks or so but VN fuel pumps often need replacing.

Once they reach pressure they cut undo the fuel line hold it in a coke bottle and ask someone to hit the key, no fuel pump is dead. If its not making sound it will be dead, it is not rare for these pumps to die what people dont realise is that the pump uses the fuel as lubricant so it is not recomended to run them under a quarter of a tank, if you always run it low this is why it has died when you get a new one make an effort to keep it over a quarter.

Unfortunately the sender unit in the tank is made with the pump in mind you would probably be able to rig something up but as to being available retail i'm pretty sure there's nothing out there. You can get aftermarket internal pumps which are supposedly better but I can't swear to that as i've never had one myself.
