Flushing out radiator

Ok i dont know if any one else has heard of this but i used to work t a 4x4 wreakers and mecanical repair joint any way the head machanic there used to use pino clean to flush out the radiators.But one thing i never asked im was if this was alright to do on petrol motors ? as i know that it worked really really well on the 4x4's we did it on at work.So has ny body else heard of this ? as i said i know it works a treat on diesel motors but i want to make sure first that it wont do any damage to a petrol motor.

cant see why it would. But still i wouldnt want to go flush my motor with it.
