    Default Adjusting kickdown cable

I've searched and read about adjusting the kickdown cable ut just want to make sure of a thing or two. That little metal half circle button on the cable is the one i push in right? also once i've done that can i just turn the the top of the throttle body or do i have to press the accelarator down from inside the car ?

    hello dude
look most people will tell you this, ontop of the throttle bosy is a plate, on that plate their are 2 cables the one closest to the firewall is the accelrator cable and as youve said the one closest to the front of the car is the kick own cable, now as youve also stated their is a little half cirlce of bare meal, push this is and move the extruding bit of plastic immedatly to the right of this all the way to the left, so their is as little as possible of the plastic protuding from the clip. now jump inot your automobile, and slowly press the accelorator. you wil feel it click (and hear it). now push this down as much as you would normally accelarate (same right to the floor others not so much) and wella it's set, however, if you have accidently unset it their will most likely be a dust line, just push it to that dust line.

myeself if i floor it doing a burnout or just flat throttle it it goes out of wack, cause i ahve mine set to change when revving quite high, each to their own and yes it will take some fine tuning, the further to the right th e shorter the gear changes, the further to the left and it wil be longer and more harsh, set it to suit your driving style. about 1mm of movemenet per step on the plastic penis looking thing, just drive it and change t until you get what you like then get some white out and mark it for next time
