will a s2vnV8 TH700 box fit in a s1vnv8?

i've been flicking through the forums trying to find out if i can put a s2 v8 auto onto my s1 but havent been able to find much...

can it be done? there have been mentions of different crank fitting...

then again, can you just take out whatever it is that connects to the crank from the s1 box and put it in the s2 box?

Should be fine buddy,V8 autos only changed when VR came around.VR ones are elec controled and anything earlier are cable.

short answer is yes, it will fit in the hole,

fly wheel and torque converter wont match
gearbox wont have 4th gear (lock up solenoid in box isnt compatable with a s1 car)
