Im pretty strapped for cash at the moment and have been offered work in Europe. I need to pay off the old credit card and get a ticket to get over there. Im considering selling my baby. For those who dont know wat ive had done to my car read the following.
VN 89 Series I S Pack 360000K's
SS Inductions CAI, K&N Filter, Extractors, 3" High Flo Cat, 2.5" Redback Cat Back Exhaust, Dr. Bob Performance Chip, Fully Reconditioned Gearbox With Stage 2 Shift Kit, 16" Advanti Mag Wheels, Full Bodykit With Spoiler, Very Hard Suspension I dont know what type, Sony Explod Sound System: Head Unit + Front Speakers + Rear 6x9 Speakers + Amp + Sub
Regularly serviced every 6 months and drives very well. The interior is a bit unsitely as there are a few dash buttons missing and no hood lining and the exterior has a few marks. I have spent all up probably $7000 on it car inclusive. I know i wont get anything near that but if anyone can give me an estimate it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

360,000kms is alottt...most people will steer away from anything with that much on the clock. Has it had a rebuild? If not I would say $2,500 if you are lucky.
The bodykit will make younger buyers look at it...But the interior will be a turn off with buttons missing and no roof-lining etc...89 model as well....car audio might help tho, despite being Sony in brand hehe
I would advertise it at $2500 o.n.o and see what offers you get....
cheers yeah maybe i find a young guy....especially if they want a car with mods so they dont have to buy them themselves as $$$ are hard to come by these days
as the other dude said wit that many ks be hard to get a good price all though u have a few mods done i would advertise it for 4grand if u get $3500 your laughing. i wrote 4000-5000 earlyer because i thought u had 260,000 not 360,000 i read it wrong. Good luckOriginally Posted by S Pack
Perhaps i was wrong....I personally would not buy it for $3,500, but if vngmh thinks its worth that, then theres probly a few others out there that might tooOriginally Posted by vngmh6
Good luck with the sale man
Most people would shit when they seen 360,000km.
But with the work you have done $3,000? Start at $4500 and see then you got something to work with and offers come in you might get a better price then $3000.
I have done some major work to my car and i believe will never get it back, So it's smarter to keep it now and just keep going.
This year alone i have spent $1,800. And with $1,600 of work on the way I'll never see it in my hand in a sale.

Thats slower than a stock VN...So if the person has test driven another VN they are likely to see no difference in performance and this is no offense intended!
where can i get a 0-100 time as my time wont be accurate (stopwatch remember) the local dyno gut says he doesnt do it on his dyno
yeah 360,000 is alot, to put it in perspective i got my calais for $2500 a about 16 months ago with 240,000km on it when it comes down to it, your actually probbly better keeping it, or removing the bodykit and selling it second hand, to be honost the car would be worth more wrecked, my mate wrote off his vn calais (EXACTLY the same as mine) it fetched $3500 in total just for parts, now i bet someone would be dieing for a reco tranny, think about it, $2500 isnt alot.. and you could get close to 3-4k back on parts, just depends if you can bear ripping it apart to sell it for parts.. quite a sad sight...
to be honost id keep it... looks nice, younger drivers will take a look at it, but in the back of our minds springs the same thing "why is it soo cheap and has it been thrashed"
in private sale sad to say but 2500-3500, if anything the engine km wont sell the car
good luck man =)
Ummm...lol unless u get a gtech and do several runs to get an average reading which will be more accurate...but they cost a bit. I dunno where you could go
Timely thread this. I just got back from a car yard which said they would on the face of it, give me a good trade in for my '91 VP Exec with bodykit, 17" wheels,170000ks, and great overall condition. I was looking to buy a 2001 Berlina, and they said the most they could give me was $1500.00!!
The worst part was I was trying to do a double trade, my other car is a VS Berlina, 217000ks, good condition, offered $2500.00. Private, both of these models sell for something a bit more respectable that those insults thrown at me.
Think I will keep them both now, blow it.
Hoo Roo
lol take your cluster out and wind it back. You'll get what you want.
well theres some good advice.....Originally Posted by VNPOWER

Around $1500-$2000, considering the age and the klms, i've seen vt's go for $6000 with less kays.
Just gotta find the right person, good luck with it!
