Default Difilippo Racing Extractors For VN V6

Does anyone here have any dyno charts or even first hand knowledge about the Difilippo Racing headers for the VN V6?

All I know is they have a 1 5/8" primary with 2 1/2" outlets and are made from stainless steel. Also they cost $695 plus frieght...So pretty expensive

Anyone bought some or got some on their car? Better than Pacemakers and HM or not?

although i cant vouch for them personally (ive never owned a commodore with di filippo extractors before) i can say that friends of mine have used them and the feedback was very possitive.
they certainly do make some very nice exhaust systems....and i wouldnt doubt that the little extra they cost over say pacemakers is money well spent.

I'd definately pay the xtra money over the pacemakers as you have said the difillipo ones are stainless steel! Stainless is definately worth the xtra money over mild steel IMO!

Yeah that is true, I might send an email off to difillipo for some more information...

They seem like a pretty big set of headers... 1 5/8" primaries is the same size as the Pacies Competition Headers...and 2.5" outlet compared to 2 1/4" for the Pacie Competition Headers....

I prefer di fillipo, pacemakers are good thats no word of a lie, personally my opinion but dont expect a big difference between the brands, no matter which one u choose the improvement is noticable and try out street commodores i remember seeing a header comparison there

Prime example my last subdue mobile the 1988 series 1 vn calais, 17" Calais Internationals with K&N C.A.I under bumper duct work,2.25" system,Lukey extractors, lowered pro on king springs superlows, monroe short shocks, new tail shaft, uni joints, new p /steering,new brakes, radiator side tanks, was dead even with my mates 1990 vn berlina with hm headers, redback 2.5" with 6" canon and no cai stock suspension and retreads so there you go.

    Diablo: My mates car "diablo" 1994 VR S 3.8L auto,pacemakers,2.5" system, lukey ultra flo,cai dyno - 110kw.

Ahhh cool cheers subdue. I tried street commodores but nothing on Difillipo there...just HM, Pacey, Lukey etc.

If the extractors have 2.5 inch outlets....does that mean they need 2.5 inch exhaust pipes? Cause thats massive?

I've got the full diffillipo exhaust on my Vn V6 .

Extractors will only fit an Auto , They don't make for manuals .
I also have the twin cats and the twin 2.5" into 3" over the diff cats back.

The price you pay for DiFillipo, i say would come down to What you really want to achive for your car..
If its just a streeter daily.. Id get pacemakers.. I plan on getting pacemakers aswell Altho i KNOW DiFillipo are made from better material..

Id still get pacemaker over any of the lower end brands out there

Ahhh CHAMRA1 ur car is QuickVN...
Obviously they would suit your car with the 180rwkw lol

But i think they would hurt my bottom end too much...due to the excessively sized outlets

This system is not for a stock car .

Mines had heaps of work to the motor and runs nitrous hence the bigger exhaust.

Cheers for the help, I will stick with pacies...i have no plans for forced induction (other than perhaps an SC14 or something), just a 4.2l stroker and NA modifications so the outlets are simply too large for what I will ever need
