    Default Opinions on Rims

Hey guys. I just mocked up a shot in photoshop of what my VP wagon would look roughly like if I put my girlfriends rims onto my car. Her Commo got whitten off a few weeks ago and depending on what rims are on her new one when she gets it, I may be able to score these for sweet bugger all.

The question is, do they suit the body shape (they're originally off a VL)?

Those who know will remember I had my VT SS 17"s ripped off late last year, so I was forced to go interceptors and VS berlina hubcaps in the meantime.

Let me know what you think guys. Thanks.

they look better...i agree with lowering it...just curious have u had it resprayed b4? cuz both doors, the bottom of ur front guard, and the sill under the doors and ur front bar look whiter then the rest of the car.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Really. The car has been resprayed in parts before I owned it. It's weird, the only time the guards have looked like that is in those photos. Something to do with the lighting and me messing with contrast in photoshop. I do really need to give her a cut and polish and even some of it up a bit. Also, the back end sits up because there is one odd tyre on the back and it kicks the whole rear end up, also it's parked on a hill. She sits pretty straight most of the time.

But thanks again guys. I'll keep you posted as to what I do.

Sorry to hear about your 17's!! Man that definately blows chunks!!! I don't think people would be as likely to steal these new ones though. But if they do I better get lock nuts for my Calais wheels! I would'nt have thought anyone would wanna pinch them, but I could be (massively) wrong!

I move about 300kgs of live bass gear regularly so lowering is out of the question.

Cheers again fellas. Good blokes, all of you.

Cheers guys. I'd phreaking love to lower it, I may look into taking it down a couple of inches, yet still give me room to move gear. Like I said, it's an odd photo and she usually sits pretty straight and a bit lower, maybe I had no petrol in the tank or something.

Thanks for the pic Azk... really. Also, if you see that car cruising around the Frankghanistan area, give me a yell.

I'm also thinking of spraying those black side trims to white, and maybe putting some of those inserts you find on the VP calais rear wheel arches in. Could be good. The beauty of photoshop is I can test these things out before I do them and get a general idea on how it would look.

    Moment of truth is here...

I'm doing the changeover tonight. But... Some guy told my girlfriend that the rims won't fit from a VK-VL to a VP S1 due to different front hubs (some bollocks to do with the centre cap or something). I thought the commodore stud pattern was standard across all commodore models so wheels were completely interchangeable.

    Please clarify?
