VN memcal mapping/programing

can any one help me?????
im looking for pc programs so i can re map my own memcal or if there is a memcal on the market that can be remaped
ive been serching for programs and cables to plug my lap top into my ecu but i cant find any thing.

There are quite a few different ways to do that allready ^, both with the delco and aftermarket ecu's

yepo they are on this site. do a search i did. tunerpro is one ands its free. If you search you will be able to find the site somewhere on here

thanks for the help im going to buy a burner and try to burn my own if i can find the sotft ware.
also are v6 eproms the same as v8??? (after they have been erased?)

the eprom is the same but the memcal has different resistor network chips for backup fuelling & are not interchangeable

thanks for that. i can get my hands on a few v6 eproms but i didnt think they any use to me coz i have a v8

The program you want is Tunerpro, the same guy makes another program called EmUtilty that lets you real time tune laptop style with any kind of program, even notepad pretty sneaky

i found the ecu program is it the same for v8

Yes the $5D .ecu/.xdf will work with the $5D VN V8 memcals
like for example ASBX and the SV89 chip ATJN, try comparing those two for a start. It's easy to make something much quicker than those if you simply copy the spark map from ATFL, which is an obvious (when you see it) and pretty easy way to get close to a full power tune for the 5 liter. After that it's just a matter of fine tuning what you want for your car. That should be enough to make any stock light model VN 5 liter run in the 14's over the 1/4 mile with no other mods.

p.s I know that's a lame effort when it only takes 5 seconds to do and its just a copy and paste but it works well so why waste more time than you have to.

One more thing

KADVSLOP: EST params - F1 table Extension Slope
see this ^ make sure on the 5 liter that you don't go past say, 34/35 degrees total advance after you add the value in this onto the timing you have at 100map@4800 rpm. Because we are playing without knock sensors here so things can go bad if you don't have a clue.

greenfoam, have you ever thought about installing a knock sensor to your engine for your ECU???.... it could work n your favour so you can go just that little bit more MAD with your 5 litre lol

i was just wondering if there is a limit to what i do to my chip because my car runs on lpg for highway use??? do i keep playin with the eproms and just see what it does with the gas or to i keep a standard eprom handy for when i drive long distance????
