Default Putting A Vq Stato Front On A Vn

Alright i want to put a vq statesman frontend on my vn well actually i'm going to put the rear bar on aswell.Anyway about the front i'm led to believe that in order to put the vq front on all i need is the vq front bar, bonnet & grill is that right thats all i need. The headlights and indecators are the same as vn.I can get everything except the rear boot garnish i went to the wreckers today he has one i got quoted $120 for it does this sound alright or is it a bit dear ?.

me and a mate wrecked a vq and sold the garnish for about 100 plus postage on ebay. so that would be about right. as long as there isn't any cracks. also i reckon ya should be able to put a vq grill on a normal bonnet. give it a go, they are the same shape.. then ya won't have to paint a bonnet

Yeah i've seen VQ's with VN bodykit front bumpers (group A etc.) that were unmodified, so you should just be able to shove a front bar and grill straight on, without changing the bonnet if you dont want to. But thats all you needa do man.

Bonnet will have to be changed to VQ! Although they are the same shape the VN bonnet wont have any supports to bolt the VQ grille to.VN grilles screw to the radiator support, VQ grilles are bolted to the bonnet.

Thats right you need the VQ bonnet or you could get 8 nuts welded where the studs should be then screw in some small bolts to hold the grill support on.The holes are already there on all VN VP bonnets, you will also need the statesman bonnet lift piece as it is longer to allow for the grill.Got one of those if you need one.
As for bumper you only need the bumper cover as you can use your old steel reo.(did this with my VQ)
