Hi im getting a new memcal and need some advice on it.
The info i have on it is,
THIS PERFORMANCE MEMCAL WILL SUIT THE VN/VP V6 AUTO AND MANUAL COMMODORE .

IT IS A NEW DESIGN , AND WILL INCREASE POWER AT THE REAR WHEELS BY A MINIMUM OF 22 KW .!!! OR 27 KW .

this memcal is guaranteed to out perform even the "powerchip" brand memcals !

DEPENDS WHO U TALK TO , POWER AT REAR OF STD V6 IS 80-85 KW......

MANUAL V6`S CAN EXPECT A FEW KW MORE. DUE TO LESS DRIVE TRAIN LOSSES.

TORQUE IS INCREASED TO 275 NM !!

AND THE REVLIMITER HAS BEEN RAISED TO 6500 RPM !!

THE DYNO REPORT SPEAKS FOR IT SELF !!

DYNO REPORT WAS DONE JUST USING MEMCAL AND 2.5 INCH EXHAUST , COLDER THERMOSTAT, AND PORT MATCHED THROTTLE BODY ELBOW , AND ULP PETROL NOT PULP !

THIS MEMCAL MUST BE USED WITH A 160 F THERMOSTAT .

THIS IS WHY : STD COMMODORES RUN A 190F THERMOSTAT , WHICH MAKES THE ENGINE RUN HOTTER , AND THE HOTTER A ENGINE GETS, THE LESS U CAN ADVANCE THE TIMING TILL IT STARTS TO PING..

THE FUEL AND IGNITION MAPS HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY MODIFIED AND WILL NOT DAMAGE YOUR ENGINE

WITH THE COLDER THERMOSTAT , U CAN RUN MORE TIMING FOR GREATER POWER. AND SAVE HEAT STRESS ON YOUR ENGINE.!

Sorry but somesones pulling your leg, Most 100% stock vn's will pull 95rwkw Average. Throw on extractors & exhaust you have 105rwkw EASY!

Yeah, the most a car like that will make on the top end from a retune is going to be well under 10kw, well under. The biggest suck is that people read around the forums without actually helping anyone learn how to do tune their own cars and then go straight to ebay to sell all the info. I bet that guy and just about everyone else selling memcals on ebay are from these forums but they never reply to anyone asking for help. grrrrrrrrr @ them .

Don't be a sucker and buy stuff of those guys even if only on moral grounds. If you are going to buy one, they wont be able to extract anymore power than anyone else at best. But if you really don't have the background experiences to figure it out just yet then do the right thing and buy one off Dr Bob because he is a helpful kinda guy. It wont get you 27kws but it will get you at least as many as the one you posted was really going to get

It depends on your car, the stock tune MIGHT be a bit lean if you happen to have a good VN, the VR tune I posted the other day makes about 115rwkw over a fairly wide area with extractors and exhaust, but the engine might be pretty worn in that car. You really never know what's going to happen , whatever happens it's not going to be anything spectactular on a stock V6, you can only gain a few kw here and there. Yes more timing is a good thing for gas

a good proven tune will give you 10 to 15 kw depending on the exhaust & fuel. It should be specifically tuned to suit gas, i believe some of the sellers on ebay are unscrupulously selling other peoples work too, one of the guys selling memcals on ebay was only selling vs ones for a while then he brought a vnv6 one in an auction & all of a sudden he has vnv6 ones for sale.lol its not hard to work out. a few of them are members on here and other forums as well.

Its a vn s2 5 speed on gas, mods are hi flow cat, red back cat back zorst v8 trottle body. i want to get a good cold air intake and extractors.
