where can i get a performance cam & chip package from and how much?
also what about valuves and springs to suit? also price please ?
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
crow cams is probably the first place to start, but not sure on prices. just shoot them an email
i got a stage 2 cam and chip for 850 but i didnt bother with valves. (crow cam)
there's alot of places that will do a cam for the buick engine...sticking with a place i know..C.O.M.E. racing does a cam and chip package for about $900.
their valve springs and retainer set cost about $300.
this is assuming where talkin about a v6 here...the v8 pack is actually cheaper, lol.
no worries i`ll have a loo kand see what i come up with. by the way what type of a power out put am i looking at ?

What sort of power are you looking at, everyone rekons the crow "stage 1/2/3" kits dont really make much extra power for what they are, CHAMRA1 only got 112rwkw out of a stage 3 cam. I have a Wade 992a cam and a dyno tuned chip that made 138rwkw with the previous owner, its a little grumpy but fun, runs fine with my stock chip however for some reason lol.

hey mate - 138rwkw sounds impressive, i have CAi, pacies, sports cat etc and chip what would i probably have now? How much was the Wade992a cam or where can u get em from plz?Originally Posted by aokman
Thanks
I made 103rwkw with those sorts of mods. The wade 992a cam is worth about $600 plus tuning if your car has issues with it![]()
Mines going on the dyno in 2 weeks but theres no real reason why it cant make atleast 130rwkw as the previous owner made less than me on the dyno before the cam went in.
where can i purchase a wade 992 cam from and are they lumpier then the crow cam stage 3 kit(which i have)
You can purchase the Wade 992a cam from http://www.wadecams.com/
The cam is much lumpier than the Crow stage 3 cam, hence the power output. The Crow stage 3 cam is just a baby and a waste of time for the effort required to put it in there. You can definately hear the 992a cam at idle with that nice lumpy sound. You can hide it though by increasing the idle from the stock 700rpm to about 850rpm, this will smooth the idle out also. There is also another step up which is the 1114a cam, ive never tried one but it looks good but probably past the point of a street car cam in my books.
