just wondering has there ever been a scale model of a vn an or vp commodore produced? because ive scoured the internet etc but ive never seen one??
yeh, what scale do you want? theyve made them in i think its something like 1:30 scale, i found they even did a hotwheels one, very common overseas, but i havent seen many pver here.
wait, do you mean diecast or plastic one you can build>? theres a resin model vp that you have to buy a chassis for.
oh really? where do u get the plastic vp from? its always cool to have a little model of your kind of car i think, i have a few of those hotwheels vn commodores, they only come in police tho!!
I collect Traxx models and they have only released up to VL in standard form as far as I have got anyway.
Classic Carlectables and Paradise Garage would have released the Holden Racing Team version, but not a standard VN.
theyve got non police versions of the hotwheels ones, just hard to get.

see there for resin vp and a few other resin models id love to get.
i have seen diecast vns in my travels, but cant remember the brand.

any good hobby/model railroad store can get these for you
they are made by herpa and preiser
Yeh always wanted a VN SS model. Only ones are the hotwheels bastardised ones (if you see one you will know what I mean).
Guess I will have to wait for trax, they are up to the VL..........

Yeah Trax is awesome...I grabbed 2 of the VL's when I had my own VL and now I need some VN's to go with my VN...but they have released older Commodores since, such as VB etc.Originally Posted by AirStrike
There model line-up is hard to judge.
Yeah I have a few own there models (get the caterlogue every month) im always in two minds with them. Buy all the commodores cause they look cool and might increase in value, or not cause they cost money to just sit thereOriginally Posted by 1991_Vn2nV

Yeah i have about 60 of them. The limited edition ones jump in value pretty quick. But I have run out of room on my shelf... lolOriginally Posted by AirStrike
I cant wait for the VN range to be released though, I think the only one missing in the pre-VN line up now is the VK...so it shouldnt be long now![]()
i have always wanted a model car like when u go into a shop like umm "gamesworld" here in perth u can get scaled models i think they might be 1:18 but i want one of a vn or vn calais...u know the ones i am speaking of right, like the fast and the furious car models and all etc etc...
cheers, Todd
VY works currently in PRODUCTION!!
Engine will still be sloow!!!!! ;-)
dam i want that VP group A one... then ill spray it to look just like mine LOL
a wagon would be good too
yesterday i thought ill e mail trax and ask them when they are gunna make a vn, so i did, and there reply was very short and sharp, they said " we only make models of cars that are over 20 years old, so when the vn hits 20 then we may make them, which i thought was stupid coz the VL is only 19!!
The VL Walkingshaw is 19 years old. But the VL itself is over 20 years old now (1986)Originally Posted by 3.8L of executive power!!

too true, (lapse of concentration)
According to the Trax VL's that I have which are Berlina's, they were released March 1986..But they've been making the VL's since before that anyway. I got mine last year.
I looked on the trax site, IMO the VL model doesn't look very good, the lights and grill dont look right, the bumpers have no texture, the rear window doesnt look like it slopes at the right angle..
I like it but i think they could have done a better job

yea i dont think they look right either, im dobating weather or not to spend $320 on a biante 1:18 scale walkinshaw model, it looks soooo awsome and it limited ed etc etc, but its a hell of a lot of money for a model
Just looking at the 2 in my room now, I agree. Its actually not a very good quality model at all. Window wipers are stickers on the windscreen etc, its just yellow metal below the windscreen instead of the black plastic stuff, front on it looks like a different car as well.Originally Posted by VK_308
A long way off most of their other models. The VB model I have is much much better...it actually has wipers and side mirrors etc, and the front grill and everything is quite realistic. 10x better!
