I was coming home the other day when my 1990 vn commodore died it took a while but i finally got it restarted, but i cannot get any revs out of the car, when you put your foot on the acclerator pedal it stalls.
Before: it stalled every know and then the car would die in revs and then surge.
Cheers

Check the fuel pump too.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
yeah mine did tha samething, did the crank angle sensor first but it was the fuel pump.....my pump wouldnt hold pressure once the car was turned off n loose pressure after 25-30 min of drivin.....stop the car n restart it n it was fine for another couple kms...
nah man crank angle sensor aint like that...the crank angle sensor works fine once u chuck water on it, wont kill it when u start it and put foot on accelerator cable...good guess tho, id say probably the coil pack...Originally Posted by dodgy

where is the crank angle sensor located on a VN?
underneath the harmonic balancer,Originally Posted by VN-SV-89-LE
i think u have to remove it to get at it, standing from infront of the engine its to the right under the harmonic balancer, you'll see the wires
as for fuel pump yeah sounds about right
