I just got off the phone from Tidd Brothers let me tell you i had a smile from ear to ear, I have never been treated so well ever i was so happy and impressed with them.
They are going to do me a Redback Hi-Flow Cat For $220, And set-up my Exhaust the way i like it, 2.5" System and they will test resonators on the rear till I'm happy with the sound output it giveI told them i was after something more unique not the same sound all VN-VP-VR's give out something a touch different, We will test and test until your happy with the sound he said if your not happy we aren't happy. I was over the moon, My brother years ago told me to go see Fred and Tidd Brothers because he was great, He wasn't wrong I'm there 10am 2morrow and I'm going to come away with a big smile

I have had to book in the past and wait 1 hour to get the car in and 1 hour to have a tip fitted at other exhaust places:eek;
Can't wait to meet them and get some ideas off them for the best sound

Heh, well, whatta ya know, it disintegrated."
So far it's right on the money.
I took my mates VR berlina to get a 2.5" sports system at StAlbans exhaust centre, It sounds crap not even sports like very disappointed with it.

And to top it off they done me one top system.
2.5" Redback Hi-Flow Cat Converter(Old was blocked and burnt couldn't see through it was black.) Straight through Redback performance muffler, Hot dog for deeper sound and a Twin pipe Tip, Power is great but it's mid range is wheel turning love it
Here is a rear shot now, Could have gone for the Twin 3" tip but the 2.5" is fine with me sounds awesomeGet in the high revs and it lets of this amazing crackling sound

But they tested a Statesman's exhaust loudness with the sound meter but didn't worry about myn, So maybes it's alright, I sat next to the cops today for about 7 min and they never looked back
No sorry i don't think so, But maybe you could call them and see if they will deliver or give you the part numbers?Originally Posted by Cootie

Do you know how many dB it puts out? At the moment i was told mine puts out about 90-95 but thats not tested. just an estimate. I want a bit more of a deeper tune. does a hotdog do that? And at low reves (cruzin down the the street in a 60 zone in forth gear) it makes hardly any sound and i want to hear it.

I'll give it a go i normally to record sound stick the PC Mic out the window and drive down the drive fast and then slam the brakes before i hot the roadOriginally Posted by Cootie
I'm lucky i got a drive about 15-20 meters long
No sorry not to sure how many DB it puts out.Originally Posted by coolvncommodore

Yes different types of Hot dogs can make it softer or deeper louder or quieter, Someone like Tidd's will test them on the car for you and rev it up till your happy i might have the part numbers on my receipt?.
I'll tell you how deep it is, I drove out of the video shop tonight and driving normal about 20kp/h i was at and a car alarm started to beep a couple of times![]()

aZk.
$220 special for the Redback cat. For the straight through muffler and pipe plus Hot Dog and Twin dump pipe tip $600 all up including Cat.
I have all the part Numbers to if your interested, Even if you tell them i spoke to a guy with a VP who this and that done for this price they will do it because there that kind of people. And they will revs your car for you with different hot dogs till you like what you here.
So it was $510 cause the Twin Dump tip cost me $90 on it's own. I was quoted for a Standard shit cat and Redback system $540

Word of warning you will need to turn the sound up just about full to here this as i have said it's a PC Mic out the window it's amazing it picks up sound at all.

Kilowatts are like drugs, the more you get, the more you want.
DARA PRIDE!!
Watching them do it they make it look easy, But a couple of things they did looked hard if at home, They added some extra support to the pipe welding etc, At the rear it's a tight as a fish's rear not a rattle or anything.
If your not far from tidds give them a buzz and ask them how much to fit one you have, The guy that did my car worked for holden, And he said if I'm ever in need of a tune stick something on the car come by and he will do it they are pretty good.
I got to here my car from outside for the first time last nightI walked down the road about 200 meters and my mum was going out so i waited down the road listen to it coming up and past we around the roundabout and down the street, I sent her a SMS and said to be a puss give it some revs
.
To my surprise it's not as loud as you think it is but it's loud enough, All the rev range was nice sounding, Real nice burble slightly like a V8 but not really
I recorded this one sound some time ago with my old exhaust system, And this one just a couple of days ago, Both are in the recorded by my phone, Sitting on the dash vents.
Quality of the sound isn't great but the phone is shit![]()

I do to, When i lowered it i noticed it had better grip, then the exhaust was done it was getting the wheels spinning easy.
First zip file is inside about 2 months ago with the Milo tin on the rear
Second is the new but no rain that day. But it felt like after it got wheel-spin it was still trying for grip.
But the first zip in post 21 was a wet dayOut the drive and got spinning a touch and i thought what the hell
, But now to keep wheel spin in wet even dry i need to manually hold the gears or it will change into the next gear very easy. You might here that at the end.
But all on the grip side is unreal now with new tyres on the rear, I scored some 225's Turanza's very nice grip on them in the dry very nice, Not sure about the wet just yet.
Thanks for that i get a big head my mum tells me because i really like the sound from it, Even more at high revs![]()
