HSV VPII formula - real or fake?

Just bought a 93 vpII hsv formula and have been questioned if its the real deal or a replica. Its got the hsv plate under the hood, things like abs, leather trimmed interior, sports suspension and exhaust, and it a v6. Is there any main features that can prove a real from a replica?

Well on series 2 ABS was an option on all models...But it definitely sounds like the real deal. With ABS, leather trimmed interior and the HSV plate...it should be real.

But you can give HSV a ring and have the VIN number and build number checked...

They made 67 VP HSV Formula's. All were a V6 with 15x7" 5 spoke rims. They used the VP Senator grill and were a two tone (calais style) paint job.
Like said to be sure just ring HSV with the VIN.

Sure boona? The formula was a standard V6.

if its a hsv then yes it should have a hsv computer right??? i thought they were chipped but i could be wrong

Nah I have the specs infront of me. Its one of the cosmetic only ones. Has the standard 125kw.

thanx guys, yeh i thought it was the real deal i just dont think many people know of the HSV formula! Even my mechanic thought all hsvs were v8!

Never heard of the HSV formula, seen plenty of Holden Formula's tho, same bodykit as the SS (VN Model)

sounds cool...but for reassurence all u gotta do is ring holden/hsv and tell em ur vin they'll tell u right there man!!..show pics soon!!
