Calais dash diplay problem

I've just bought a level three dash cluster for my VN wagon,
the trip computer displays have a bit of ink bleeding.
Is there anyway of replacing these displayes without getting a whole new cluster?

Also; is it true i can install the the dash without the fourth connector?

i heard there needs to me modifications with a L3 cluster or the thing smokes and shits itself and all wiring connected to it.

the level three dash can be installed no worries if it's a vn/vp one, the later ones run a different power or something so they smoke and screw everything.

the fourth connector is what runs the displays, also you will have no odometer (illegal)

to wire it up you just need about 3 hours, some electrical tape, needle nose pliers, and a hell of a lot of patience ha ha

it's just fiddley but overall definately worth it
