    Default urgent help needed - idle problems

    need some help pulled of my throttle body and cleand it putit all back and (u no the story the car runs like shit) rough idel, cutting out, gear changing to earley, black smoke from exust, running really hot, oil lamp lights up, idel runs high. i need some help im guessing its the sensors what do i do or where did i go wrong

    anyone with anysuggestions it sounds like its missing, deffently running rich. its popping anf stuff like that

    Make sure youve put all the sensors back on, give them a bit of a clean... Also check that youve put the gasket on Correctly..

    And then check error codes..

    Could be the throttle position sensor is still disconnected. Thats the one on the bottom of the throttle body. Hopefully it should be something obvious and fairly simple.

    Even if it turns out to be a problem with the throttle body itself, I have a spare one with sensors which you could try.

    cheers guys worked it out yes it was the map sensor hose left off. little bastared areound the back

    it's an easy one to miss

    also the electrical plug for the TPS is easy to not hook up properly!

    hehe sounded very similar to when i did it that why i thought it was the hose :P
