I was just a little worried as it took so long and i got nothing other then the box. I was a little cheesed off, The first thing i ordered was the shocks, Done the springs 3 days later and now it's a whole week after that and they finally arrived, I could have had them fitted twice when doing the springs and even the exhaust.

    thanks guys

when you take a stock shock out, the short shocks will be around an inch shorter from memory.

and just checked the monroe site, its the right part number.

and just for you adam, wagon and sedan are different, as they have different mounting points so are different lengths.

    Thanks for the Pic Adam.

    Thanks Hakhawk for the info.
I can see what you mean about them mounting different on the rear, I didn't know they sat like that on a angle on the wagon's.

Can anyone give me me some tips on sticking them on. Should i grab some ramps reverse up and just take them off one by one is it that easy? O do i need to raise the car in anyway because they are shorten?.

you will need to jack the car up so the diff has no pressure on it(not on ramps, dont jack up the diff itself).

then just unbolt the old shocks and stick the new ones in.

mm, not sure how youd go with one side at a time to be honest. me n dad did both sides at the same time. im sure someone else will know, otherwise, jack up one side and see if you can get the shock off.

shortened shocks should be more than an inch shorter. i have a set of pedders lowered shocks in the back on my car are they would be at least 3 inch's shorter
i reckon 1 side at a time is a lot easier too.

I'll go one at a time but I'm thinking can i jump in the boot and undo the bolt nut in there before a raise the car up?. Not to confident of jumping in the boot when it's up off the ground, Bad memories

oh and just incase u didnt know you will need a pair of vice grips to hold onto the bolt part of the shock(the bit that goes through the floor)to stop the shock from spinning when you undo it

My brother and i changed the shocks yesterday, When the olds were removed they were shorter then the Monroe ones. They were pedders sports Ryder's is that normal?
But the rear feels good I'm pretty happy
