This is not a very common conversion yet but I would be putting those mint VN's away in the shed until the parts you need are cheap, Yes he really is on his L plates and built this for 11 grand or so, it also runs 11's on the 1/4
Looks pretty stock hey? even has grandpa reflectors on the mudflaps, but then how come it just pulled 260rwkw?
Lets have a look at the front![]()

They're not 'grandpa reflectors' they're little chrome Holden lions. I've got them on my VN and they look mad.
Right you are though - forget the 5L conversion, go a 5.7L or even a 6L . . .
mmmmmmm a 6L VN would go off. And that engine's not much heavier than the cast iron V6 . . . depending on how long my engine lasts, I might give that particular conversion a go !

I got a VN Calais and just aboutto do an engine conversion myself but im going the otherway and putting a rb30 turbo in mine.
the stickers on the back window kinda give the game away.....
good idea though...there was another white vn in another mag with a carburettored LS1 in the engine bay....theoretically not a new idea, but has its merits for sure.
That was the same car, it used to have a carby on it a while ago, so he could get it running right a bit easier, but he has got with the times now and has all the injection stuff back on itOriginally Posted by EcotecManiac

i bet it's a bugger to change the plugs on![]()
with the weight of the vn and a LS2 why wouldn't it do 11sec... imagine TT 6L WITH NOS - lots on internals damn id be over the moon![]()

wow.....
dont they push 220rwkw stock???
not much work would be required to get to 260 i suppose, maybe just a retune and a few parts here and there
I bet it's easier than on a series one V6!Originally Posted by jules

Please no-one flame me for this(i love it) But wouldn't you want something done suspension wise and at least have some decent rubber on that thingI had trouble with 205's on the rear of the VB.
I feel much more confidant in wet and dry now with 225's on my rear.
But that aside how easy does that engine fit in there OMG.
