remove your left hand side kick panel. your ECU is behind that. unplug it and remove the two screws. using a socket tool, remove the two screws on each side of it. remove the metal cover and you will see youre memcal. if there is no label or anything on the blue memcal, try removing the blue cover and see if there is any label on the chips.

you say it revs high...how so?...at idle what does it rev at once the revs stablise? when on a highway doing say 100k's/hr what does it rev at?
when did it start revving too high?
it could be as simple at the throttle cable being too tight.....

Id go with them, See what rev's your getting at Idle,60kmh,100kmh then we can determine something happening..

I'd agree with that^^^. Having a car chipped can't make it rev higher than it did before at a certain speed. Is it auto or manual?

    The car is an Auto..

the car is booked in for a service in the next couple weeks and i realy need to know wat to the the mechanic what to look at for me.

The car mainly revs high when the car changes gear.(even whilst going easy on the gas). Compairing my car to most others i have been in it dose not rev higher than them whilst doing 60 or 100.(dosent have a tacko(the reason why i said sounds))
one thing i did notice was that on occation when the car ghanged gear there is a slip of power to the wheels. and the car shrugs when it puts it into the next gear.

that's clearly the transmission then. ask the mechanic to have a look at it. it slips when there is not enough hydraulic pressure to engage the clutch packs properly. you can get the fluid/filter changed, this will sometimes fix it. but unfortunately it's sometimes an early sign of terminal problems (don't i know it...)

Yeah it does sound like a transmission problem. I just had mine serviced which was $110 and it seems to have improved it no end. Plenty of VNs and VPs in the wreckers though if it comes to that!
