    Default t700 not locking up

hey, i have a vh sl/e with a vn 304 and t700. i bought the car like this.
i noticed that my lockup tourqe converter doesnt work, on thurther inspection i realised that there was no speed sensor so i have recently put one in, when installing the speed sensor i noticed there was no wiring going to the gearbox so whent to the wrecker and got a plug and wired it in.
it still doesnt work tho, can anyone tell me how to test the signal from the gearbox to the comp to see if it is working properly?
    thanks

You will need a device from a VN cluster or from somewhere else that divides the speedo sensor pulses by 5 before it gets sent to the ecu

i've thought about hooking up the lockup solenoid to a switch on the dash. not sure if it is supposed to be disengaged when shifting gear tho...

    Default re lock up

If you bought the car like this, you may be chasing your tail, a common practice when converting 700 to another vechile was to: disconect wiring inside and or remove the lock up out of the convertor(done by convertor specialist) prior to istallation, Problems with having no lock up? other than the fact of reduce engine revs the convertor actually runs cooler that in normal condition. A way to see if it has lock up would be take it to a republt transmission specilist who could check the wiring and power up the lock up wire the solonoid inside. This was done so people didnt have the hassle of hooking up the lockup part when converting. hope you have sucess.

thanks for the advise, i think it to be a good idea to take it to a transmission place and have it checked out
