how to get my horn to work

hey guys i have a sports steering wheel on my exec vn and i was wondering why my horn doesnt work my bosskit does not sit all the way down the steering column but the wir in the bosskit connected to the horn button is all connected good?? any ideas

Is the wire connected to the actual gold ring on the boss kit properly? If so, is the gold ring thin making a good connection with the back?
