This thread is dedicated to little home jobs, both performance and cosmetics, for people like me i pay for all my big things (zorst etc) but people can post coolant flushing, door carpets, custom pedals and mirrors, dash painting, etc, if this is a dumb thread just ignor it, but i enjoy my little home mods lol
mesh behind front grille and in brake light in front of rear window
Hrmm.. Dont know what to say about small modifications that arent pricey haha..
- Stop your Rear lights from fading, by not letting water get in.

bellmouth removal, air filter, chip, and drive around with as little jiuce as possible
also if you dont mind destrying your motor, have about 1/4-1/2 of a tank and add 3 bottles of pro strenght ocatne boost, and she'll move
Not really a performance mod but I always put some cheap flyscreen behind the bumper and just in front of the radiator. You wouldn't even know it was there and your radiator will stay like new for yearsNo bugs smacking into the fins and crushing them. If anything the flyscreen will cammoflage the accessories behind there a little. ie thermo fans and trans coolers.
look on the inside of your mudguards where the bonnet hinges [both sides],you'll find a hole in the guard to let water out. The trouble is that it also lets leaves and junk down the hole which can cause rust.
Give these holes a good blowout with compressed air [you can use a tyre pressure gauge at the servo if you dont have access to a compressor].
Then get some aluminium mosquito mesh from your hardware and cover the holes with mesh and glue. This WILL permit water flow to the vent but nothing else... HTH... Rod
Depending on how much cash you got, (assuming you have an exec model) paint those shitty grey bumpers black. Makes a big difference in appearance. Price depends on the quality of paint you wanna use. I reccomend non-shining paint as it looks weird.
Or colour code them instead... Painted white on a white VN looks good etc.Originally Posted by VNV6VENGEANCE

door inserts
paint bumpers???
or but a bloody kit on it :P
go fast mods
---------------
chip it
upgrade coil packs/leads
remove entire interior/spare tyre + get on a treadmill and loose some weight so the car goes that little bit harder :P
grow some balls and go out and spend money?? to get something to make the car go faster without dramatic fuel consumption issues costs money, except those mentioned
i dunno its all a question on how deep you pockets are, or how much work your willing to put in, all my bodywork has cost me under $500, its all fiberglass aswell,
btw anyone want a SS rear skirt, its primed and ready to spray (GOOD CONDITION) $100 for anyone that wants it and ill even throw in a free vn calais rear bar as i want to get it out of my back yard
i just got some $50 exhaust tip - pretty big compared to standard. but it stuck out by a lot so i chopped the exhaust pipe. now at idle and at high revs, it sounds awesome. my mate with a vt says he loves how my car sounds.
only thing is is just screws on - mine fell off going 70 up a steep hill. luckily found it on the nature strip - now i screwed it on tight on the kink in the normal pipe.
Yeah i had one of those screw on tips. Mine was held on by a U-bolt but i took the U-bolt off and welded it on. looks better and wont fall off so its all good now![]()
Australia. Love it or leave it
I had a screw-on tip from Kmart tagged on the back of my 626 for a while ^^ Got twin dumpers welded on when I got the catback installed, but screw-ons are an awesome quick-fix![]()
