fuel pump has gone and was wondering if anyone knew where i can locate it?
its a 88/89 6 cyl. vn.
does anyone happen to know the price of a new pump also and is it an easy job?
Im not entirely sure on the price... but depending on your knowledge its not an easy job. You have to de-pressurise the fuel tank and empty the fuel tank and you will find the fuel pump behind the fuel guage sender unit..
This recent thread tells you how to remove it from the fuel tank unit:
fuel pump removal
Heres the information I gave in the thread anyway... But before you get to this stage you must depressurise the fuel system and disconnect the negative battery terminal... Plus the rear of the vehicle must be raised and supported and then you have to empty the fuel tank with a hand pump or something.
