Default Just Got quoted on 3 LSD's

Just got 3 quotes on a rebuild of my single spinner into LSD with 3.89 gears.

    Quote 1: from DH $2300
    Quote 2: From better $1530
    Quote 3: From around $1400-$1600

Now quote 2-3 would do a LSD with my gears for $880 + $200 fitting.
Quote 1 couldn't be bothered and was snappy when i ask about what gears are available.
    What do you think?

He told me if i installed the diff gears myself i would save over $300, But i said I'm not going to give it a shot just to save a couple of hundred, the car is more important done right with full warranty's.
I'd love to have it done tomorrow
The guy also mentioned to me about a winning sound the LSD's give off have you ever herd that before? He says some don't pick it up i said i wont here it over the exhaust

VY diff is no good. The center wont fit in your current housing, and the whole unit wont fit either.
I would be going the most expensive one. The others are far too cheap for the supply and fittiment of a gear set and LSD center.
STAY AWAY FROM THE CLOWN TALKING ABOUT WHINNING!!!
They only whine when the centers are worn or the backlash is set incorrectly.

    give him a call on (03) 9569 4846...

ask for a price, maybe mention that you know about him through the commodore forums and see if he drops it a little...

good bloke, great service, great prices - highly recommended.

The expensive one scares me a touch he wouldn't tell what gears were available he asked me what do i wont, I said what do you have? He said what do you need?. I said I'll tell you when you tell me cause all i know is 3.89?. OK then thats $2300. I'm thinking great help mate.
The one that said $1200 + $330 for gears told me it would be a BTR? Brand spanker's is that any good i haven't been into diffs long.
