I'm looking for a Group A bumper for my VN (slowly in the process of rebuilding it but am yet to get a digital camera 'cos I'm lazy) and I found this one on ebay...
Group A Bumper
Any opinions? It's just that it seems exorbitantly cheaper than anywhere else and its only $55 postage so I like it a lot.
Is there such a thing as cheap-dodgy-kits vs. really high quality ones?
Is it worth paying the extra $300 some places want for it?
Thanks in advance guys, I know nothing about body kits.
Another question - mines a Berlina and like 3 or 4mm thicker than the Commo Exec apparently - this'll make... absolutely no difference right?
Berlina and Exec is exactly the same man... The 3-4mm difference in width i probably the door trim or something
Also the difference between that one and the expensive ones, is the expensive ones are normally Genuine front bars, made from a plastic rather than fibreglass... Poly something or other.
IF the mould is really good, it will look exactly the same![]()
just looked at the website:
" VN GROUP A style
H.S.V (Highly Superior Vehicles) Style"
I take it that would be an intentional joke...
At least I bloody hope it is!
And BTW all the more expensive Group A bars I can find ($500 - $1000) all say they're fibreglass as well.
Wonder how much a 'genuine' plastic style one would cost?
Over $600 and it'd be including painting or fitting surely. ASV want around a grand to supply paint and fit a genuine front bar.
ASV... Searched Google. You mean Adelaide Special Vehicles?
Spoiler Factory is $385, i got my side skirts from them, the genuine plastic ones would be nice but not worth the price
Actually SpoilerFactory is now $415... I was gonna buy from them as well, and was kinda bummed when the price went up, but shipping to where I am would be about $200 (rural Nth Qld.)
That's why the Ebay kit caught my eye.
Is it easy to crack fibreglass? Anyone else wanna explain the ins and outs, cos as I said, I have no clue.![]()
