i notice that a lot of people feel negatively towards putting a cannon on a commodore, well that may b ok for 5L drivers to complain about them, but us 3.8 are left without any noise or crackling from out tailpipes. now i wish i could have a roaring 5L but i dont, i wanted to hear some positive feedback from anyone who has a cannon on there v6 Or has heard a v6 with a cannon to inform me on what the sound like, if a canno can make a suzuki sound tuff then y not have one on my vn(well hidden ov coarse) hehe! thanks guys

Cannons don't make suzuki's sound tough?

No positive feedback from me I'm afraid, if you have a 3.8 commo you don't want it looking like a rice box, you just need to add another couple of mufflers and the line. Theres plenty of v6's around that sound great without cannons.

No positive feedback from me neither, I've heard a vn with a cannon but the guy ripped it off pretty quick....Rip ya cat off if you want it to go hard and sound tuff

i dont care if it looks ricey or not, like i said its a 3.8 no point tryna make it look like a 5L muscle car, i like rice burners i just like my commodore better plus u cant see the cannon, its too low.

thanx but im sure ill get caught for alot more before i get done for a part u cant even see, for example my cars 1 inch off the ground, i have blue number plate lights, a cracked windscreen, black tailights.. im not fussed with the law, i can do my own RWC so im not worried bout canaries

don't do it, i know a guy that comes into my shop that HAD one on his vn6, yeah, it had a bark when he got up it, but the drone at 60kph while inside the car was near unbearable. it lasted all of 2 days. be warned

sure am but lets not get into another spring thing here please, im aware ov my own actions, the windscreen, cause its only a small crack and im not paying for a whole windscreen, the rwc, no comment.. NOW back to business, does anyone no what i can do to the stck setup to make it louder without spending $$$? i was gunna cut the back muffler out and run a twin dump tip instead ov my vt tip now? but as far as the resinator and cat wats the plan?

ok im not condoning the look of cannons on commies but i had a mate with a vn and he bought a jun bl cannon off a mate cheap and it did sound really good and it was jammed as far up as it would go and it still used to scrape nd his car wasnt even that low so my advice to you just put straight through pipe like my 6 i no its a straight 6 but ### it sounds beefy just go extractors minimus mufflers and 2.5" pipe with a 3 inch tip. wont scrape anywere near as much

if you not worried about illegalities... and you want noise, cut a section of exhaust piping out at the diff... Leave the STOCK pipe out the back, and even a cursory look under the car will show a full exhaust system...

if you put a cannon on a commodore you are, I'm sorry to say, A complete nut job... :P If you want to blaaaaaah noise of a subaru, go buy one, commodores, only noise you SHOULD hear is the engine...

yer true but a cannon isnt any wider in diameter than the stck muffler correct? what if i just stuck it in the place of the muffler and ran an extension pipe out to a vt tip? im not spending $$ ive spent more on this car then what i bought it for and i think its time to get real.. if i can get the same sound with a hacksaw then ill do that, in the end its more money in my pocket

youre obviously on a tight budget, just get the rear muffler removed with a piece of 2.5" installed in its place....or whatever you want to do.....
you dont really sound like someone who can write their own RWC....how old are you?.....update: right, just checked out your profile....no one i know at the old age of 18 can write RWC's......

lol. i know of a vp wagon around my area that has a cannon. I still think my car sounds better. Straight through 2.5 with a "highflow" cat.

my uncles a licenced tester, i write em, he signs them there u go.. i dont see wat that has to do with cannons on a vn

um wats the stock exhaust is it usually 2" or what? do u rekn just taking out the muffler will sound good or just droany?.. ok i no a 2.5cat back system is the way to go with extractors blah blah blah.. but doing that is my last on the list, im looking for a shitty substitute.. i didnt mention i was getting the cannon for free, i have the option to sell it to a jap or keep it.. unless a set of exractors just winds up on my front lorne im not doing that yet, thanks for the feedback ne way guys, i no i sound like im doing a stupid thing but im trying to work out ALL my options b4 anythings concrete cheers

you may be able to write your on RWC, but that won't stop the cops pulling you over for the incredible amount of black smoke coming out of your exhaust cuz you don't have a cat converter. RWC don't fix a $10K fine...

Also, just get a Lukey. I did, and they sound awesome

yer true.. im good at playing dumb, sometimes u can b lucky and get a nice cop and sometimes u can get one ov those senior seargents who hate anyone with a holden badge and will beat u up for asking him to take the torch off ur eyes, do u reckon theyd take the time to check it out if there was black smoke? i dont hear of many cases where the cops decide to check your zaust, unless ur making a hell ov alot ov noise haha wat u think?
