Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help???
I've got a VN V6 S2 S pack thats manual...(yay). Anyway coming home from work tonight about 3 times in the first 2 or 3 mins of driving when i slowed down like going from reverse into drive to leave the carpark or at the lights and the car lost revs really quickly when releasing the throttle and stalled when i almost came to a stop. About another 3 times after that i had to fight with it to keep it idling. I thought it could have been petrol as it was sitting on empty so i filled up. And after leaving the servo it did it all the way home for the next 5 mins. Didnt stall, but wanted to. No idea what it could be but anyone got any pointers what to check for in the daylight in the morning.
Also 1 factor could be i replaced the whole coil pack 4 weeks ago cause it died and noticed the number 1 terminal was really rusty. Could this have anything to do with it???
Thanks guys, any help much appreciated.

try your idler valve and make sure it hasnt jammed closed. this is located under the trotle body off too one side next to the throttle position sensor. or uj could try using so carby and throttle body cleaner. just make sure you use this outside cause it will smoke the place out as your doin it.
Ok think i fixed it. I pulled off the throttle body and took out the iac valve.. i only cleaned the throttle body a few weeks back but not the iac. When i pulled it out heapps of huge chunks of carbon build up fell out and continued to do so when i shook and banged it around. So now its sparkling clean and back in. Took it for a drive and it was fine... for now...
