Hi chaps,
You probably know I designed the uprated VK/VL Fuserail and do batches of these sporadically in between main contracts..
The other day I happened to peek under the bonnet of a VN or VP wagon
and the owner was complaining of headlight fuse problems, I thought this
a bit strange as the only reports I'd had were from earlier VK/VL anyway,
the little fuse block holds about 6 fuses and is on the right hand side of the
car, the owner mention his electrician replaces a few of these every now and
then. The holder looked like it had just suffered vibration damage and hadnt
melted or warped - it just seemed a bit sloppy to hold things.
My question to VN and VP owner/drivers/techs etc, is - do those fuse
holders have much of a real issue as they seem easy to fix ?
So is it worth making up some small custom assembly of a similar kind that I
do for the VK/VL, ie With lights etc, might be a bit of an overkill as its fairly
small, so if I have time coming up end of month would it be worth doing and
would there be much demand for it ?

Commodore VL Fuserails that wont warp or melt !
VK/VL/VN/VP FuseRail upgrade that wont warp or melt
Have had my VN for over 4 years now and have never had to replace a fuse under the bonnet yet. i've only upgraded the headlamps to the narva +50 bulbs and the rest ofthe electrics is stock standard, no amps or sounds anything except an alarmsystem which was proffesionaly installed.
it's a shame nothing like thats avail here in NZ, when i had my VK it seemed to be never ending when it came to electrical faults![]()
