Identifying VN V8 engine parts

Hi all,

First time Im removing a VN V8 motor from a wagon. I would like to know what both these parts actually are, I have a feeling I know but just want to make sure I am thinking along the right lines.

unit on left is the electronic ignition coil, and second is the cruise control module

Ignition Module, not coil. The coil is down the back.
