you'd be better off taking yours out and getting a mechanic to install the 3:45vl gears.

it will bolt straight up but the diff is shorter and wont allow wide rims/tyres to fit on the back but if you have 14 or 15" rims this wont be an issue
im not admiring your car im looking in disgust

Thats interesting... because they used the VL turbo diff in the VN Group A and SV5000 BECAUSE they had larger wheel on the back They used the diff because it was shorter and so there was no issues with scrubbing the guards.

They are 20mm shorter on each side, making a total of 40mm shorter.

They all fit. VL Turbo diff and VL V8 diff were the same, 4 pinion 28 spline diff. Just the VL turbs diff had the 3.45 gears while the V8 diff had the 3.08 gears.

But the N/A VL diff will also fit but you wouldnt wanna use it. Its a 2 pinion 25 spline diff...

But all the VL diffs are Borg Warner M78 Diffs just like the series 2 VK. And just like the VN-VS commodores as well.

All beam axle diffs from VB right through to VS have the same mounting points by the way.

You're not just putting a NA 6 cylinder VL diff in are you?

I would definitely only use a VL V8 or VL Turbo diff. I wouldnt wanna use the 2 pinion 25 spline diff from a normal 6 cylinder VL in a VN/VP

Just grab a VL V8 diff man. Not too expensive its just a matter of finding one.

You have 28 spline axles, which wont match up with the VL NA 6 diff...

Why would you only want the VL housing? What good is that? If it is the 3.45 ratio you want then simply take the gears.

The diff gears will go straight in yes.

The actual diff will not and the centre will not as the Pintara's are a 25 spline, and your axles are 28 spline. Correct me if I am wrong on this...
