Default VN and VP car wreckers list

Hi all, I was thinking it would be a good idea to list car wreckers around melbourne (and other states and cities), that have vn/vp parts and cars, and other holdens, if this has list has not already been done before?

Couldn't see one for Melbourne, so i'll start!

Deer Park Wreckers on Ballarat Rd usually has a good few VL - VT and is cheap!

Borgy's on Ballarat Rd (Sunshine) is a Commodore only wreckers. Fairly expensive and you can't get the parts off the cars yourself - all off the shelf.

Thanks for that Shortstuff, yeah i couldnt see a melbourne one either... The only place i know of is Pick Pay N Go on Heatherdale Road, Ringwood, they have VB to VN wrecks, average prices, although some of the cars there seem to be getting fairly stripped of parts

    Ashely road wreckers Sunshine.
Fair few VN - VP's, spotted a couple of VR/VS there as well.
Lots of decent parts still on the cars (not like alot of wreckers), door pods consoles etc.

S2 motor is said to be stronger and better built, and because they are newer (well a little bit) they are in better condition.

Do a quick search. I know there was a thread on that recently and someone had gone into a lot of detail about the differences.

    One here:
What engine differences between S1 & S2 VNs?

I can't find the other one i'm thinking of now.

I've bought stuff off you guys before too

Great source of stuff for factory uprades, FE2 brakes and such. I don't see the thicker sway bars advertised on ebay often, hope you aren't chucking them out

Only problem is the staff don't know WTF they are on about, i had an argument the other week when they had all grilles for $15 and I stumbled across a VN letterbox grille and then the person at the counter was arguing that it was a bottom air intake/ bumper off a HSV Clubby and tried charging me accordingly, then tried to charge me $30 bucks for the passenger seat adjuster for a VN as well.

Haven't seen the VR's down there in the past few weeks but they have taken away a lot of the VN/VP wagons unfortunately as I was getting nearly all of my parts for my project car off their stock..

they sound like advance here in SA, took them well over a week to remove the bottom rear lip off a VN for me, bastards, plus they always seem to fob me off & yet everyone else raves about them??? I hate that they have the things I want Cus they are rude & overpriced. K thats my rant finished....

For SA ppls, UPI (ofcourse ) & Lonsdale usually my best bets. Also production line I find a bit pricey sometimes but they usually have decent stuff.

Commodore Frenzy rock, I've bought a couple of bits off them now and they always have great service and cheap labour rates for bits you can't be bothered doing yourself

Jolly's Wreckers - Greens Road, Dandneong South from VB to VH (rarely) VL right thru to VX (there was VX there once but badly write off). Worth visiting if you're after parts that is after VR/VS.
Pick a Part normally have heaps of VN/VPs saw 1 VR in Kilsyth. Haven't been to Pick a Part in campbellfield. I'd rather pick a part type of wreckers.
    Cheers

Speeds holden spares 17 Kemble Crt Mitchell ACT is not bad you can generally get anything you want for VN's and they are fairly priced
Kilowatts are like drugs, the more you get, the more you want.
