internal fule pump

hey all im just wondering as my internal fule pump has gone in my new car and iv got a v6 one, im just wondering am i able to put the v6 one in a v8 as my new car is a 5 litre.

id say probably not.. wouldnt there be some type of flow issue?
like the v6 pump not being able to deliver enough fuel for the v8 engine?
just havin a gues.... :P
