want to change vn series 1 to a sieries2 motor any diferance
dunno but i was told there is different something to do with the cooling system piping at the rear. but i dont know that much about cars
If your getting a complete s2 motor, then no nothing else needs to be changed. There are differnces in the motor itself but I suggest you use search, there is already heaps of info about this stuff
From what I know, the main differences were (sort of performance wise) was that minor common faults with the series 1 motor were eliminated in the series 2. Not positive on that though.
But like vn6pwr said, if your getting a whole motor, it's basically a straight swap.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
i heard there is no difference other than changes to the ECU ( to map out some problems ) dunno what they were exactly though.
We got rep back, yaaay!
quite a few differences........
series two had a revised cooling system (radiator cap and surge tank, S1 was a pressurised system)
Coolant hose at rear on s1 front on s2 with bleeding screw... (sounds painful)
ecu should remain the same,
s1 had no bellmouth in the intake s2 did
early s1 had a higher stally then older models
s1 made 125kw, vp motors make 127kw...
series ones had different fittings for manual and auto...
BUT! to answer your question, if your changing the motor, ensure you get the ENTIRE cooling system, hoses (new ones), coolant overflow bottle, radiator etc. and yeah the motor....
Any more questions?
just wasnt sure what you meant by differences....
