Hi,
I have this problem where I am driving along at high speed 80KPH+ and all of a sudden it sounds like the tail shaft is banging about, but then it comes good after a about 5 seconds ... I have looked and there is no obivous signs of problem, but I will add that this happened twice and both during heavy rain... I am wondering could it be electrical as it only has happend during rain maybe soleniod on the transmission ? Definite tail shaft type sound and feel !!!
Has anyone else had something simular.
Has anyone got any suggestions I am at a lose ....
wait so is it the engine, or the suspension?
maybe water is getting into your air filter, you dont have a pod near the front bar do you???
shuddering at over 80k's usually means the converter is slipping, it may not be this, but from my experience its a definate possibility.
the converter locks up once over 80k's and a worn/old converter can slip and make a shudder/vibration throughout the car and cause a slight loss of power (especially up hill) untill you either back off your speed or get above 90-100k's and it will usually stop slipping.
if it does happen to be this you'll need a new converter.
engine mounts might be ****ed
only good cops a dead cop...
