how to tell if HSV?

Hi, just purchased a 90 VG Ute and was wondering how I can tell if the HSV stickers are true? cheers

If it all it has are stickers then it aint a HSV.

There should be HSV plates under the hood etc, HSV gear on the interior.

Best way is to ring up HSV and tell them you're engine number and VIN number. They'll tell you for sure.

Does it say HSV Enhanced V8 or anything?

haven't seen anything else so just be stickered, interior has been changed before me , cheers for the quick reply

yea should have on the I.D plate under the bonnet should have HSV writing on there and a badge on the dash

HSV Enhanced cars didnt recieve a dash badge until the VS range, previous to that was all exterior badging.

My 1991 VP HSV Enhanced Calais has a dash badge.

Also has the round HSV logo on the bonnet, hsv badge above left hand rear brake light, HSV-8 badges on sides

That isnt a HSV Enahnced car, its an actual HSV model. HSV Enhanced cars dont have HSV build numbers.

Hmm, I have the HSV letter stating my car is a HSV Enhanced VP Calais with 180kW engine pack, HSV body kit, HSV suspension kit and 16x8 SV5000 wheels. Its also got a factory sunroof and does not have the usual 2 tone Calais paintjob, the whole car is Imperial Blue.

It isn't a HSV model like a Clubby, GTS or Senator.

The build plate says the following:

Build No: EP-056
Model: E.W.B
Date: 6/12/91

So if its not a HSV enhanced car, I don't know what it is.

Maybe its rarer than i thought hehehehe.

There is a HSV enhanced VN up the road from me and the dash badge has the SV logo and a file number on it, like "File No. E###" or something similar.

I thought it would have been similar for VP's.

In my conversations with HSV, they told me my car was number 56 of around 200 VP's that were enhanced, the very large majority being SS's.
