    Default Why so much moisture?

Despite the fuel pump I got the car started this morning but there was a massive amount of condensation coming out the exhaust pipe.

Lately its been doing this alot, its not just the normal cold morning condensation, its an abnormal amount.

What could be causing this? Could moisture be getting into the engine or cylinders somehow?

I would be checking that the radiator level is not dropping as this is an indication of headgasket leakage.

The radiator level is not dropping and no bubbles in the coolant under the radiator cap.

But there is a leak in the coolant somewhere, my cars been sitting for 2 days and I noticed a small amount of coolant on the ground under the car...

I last filled up at the servo I work at... and we dont sell petrol from a tank if there is under 5000L left just in case there is any water in the tank. Tank dips are done daily and tested for water so it wouldnt be that.

I've booked my car in to get a pressure test and everything Thursday... will see how it goes.

it could also be your master cylinder leaking into the brake booster and the vacume line is sucking the brake fluid into the engine
when brake fluid goes threw the engine it comes out looking like condinsation

sooo my question is have you had to top up your brake fluid or has the level gone down fasted than usuall??

It's normal for a bit of water to come out, but it shouldn't be dripping out the back or anything.

Yeah it was dripping out the exhaust on my car. left a small puddle around the size of about 3 inches. But it was idling for a while.. Was also black shit in the water, but that woulda been out the zorst.

Also nothing else has needed to be topped up. Brake fluids, oil, power steering... Nothing. Its all stayed perfect except for the coolant.

It could be the oxygen sensor. Is your car also running rich at the same time?

do you fill the tank each time or do you only put like $10 at a time etc. it's better to keep the tank reasonably full cause if it's always empty during the night when it cools down water can condesate on the inside of the tank from the moisture in the air. just a thought anyway

if ya fill the tank each time it should take out any moisture that forms. i personally wouldn't worry about it as mine to has some moisture uota the zorst but it runs fine, doesn't use any fluids so i'd just keep on motoring
