Despite the fuel pump I got the car started this morning but there was a massive amount of condensation coming out the exhaust pipe.
Lately its been doing this alot, its not just the normal cold morning condensation, its an abnormal amount.
What could be causing this? Could moisture be getting into the engine or cylinders somehow?
do you have to top up your coolant all the time?

I would be checking that the radiator level is not dropping as this is an indication of headgasket leakage.Originally Posted by 1991_Vn2nV
The radiator level is not dropping and no bubbles in the coolant under the radiator cap.
But there is a leak in the coolant somewhere, my cars been sitting for 2 days and I noticed a small amount of coolant on the ground under the car...
water pump? might need a pressure test ay
welch plugs.. try some coolent stop leak.. Worked for me
have you been to any dodgy servos lately??
you may have water in your tank

I last filled up at the servo I work at... and we dont sell petrol from a tank if there is under 5000L left just in case there is any water in the tank. Tank dips are done daily and tested for water so it wouldnt be that.Originally Posted by xcop5l
I've booked my car in to get a pressure test and everything Thursday... will see how it goes.
From what i have herd, It means that your engine is running right.
Don't forget that blown headgaskets can also weap. Especially when cold.
it could also be your master cylinder leaking into the brake booster and the vacume line is sucking the brake fluid into the engine
when brake fluid goes threw the engine it comes out looking like condinsation
sooo my question is have you had to top up your brake fluid or has the level gone down fasted than usuall??

Man you should see the water that comes outa my exhaust since I got a working cat converter, it fair pours out
So the mechanic must of been right, its a good sign that water comes out![]()
It's normal for a bit of water to come out, but it shouldn't be dripping out the back or anything.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
Well when the mech was planting the foot in myne it was shooting out the back and dripping when on idle man....
Yeah it was dripping out the exhaust on my car. left a small puddle around the size of about 3 inches. But it was idling for a while.. Was also black shit in the water, but that woulda been out the zorst.
Also nothing else has needed to be topped up. Brake fluids, oil, power steering... Nothing. Its all stayed perfect except for the coolant.
It could be the oxygen sensor. Is your car also running rich at the same time?
do you fill the tank each time or do you only put like $10 at a time etc. it's better to keep the tank reasonably full cause if it's always empty during the night when it cools down water can condesate on the inside of the tank from the moisture in the air. just a thought anyway

VN2VN it sounds perfectly normal to me mate, nothing to worry about![]()
Cheers Mack
And I normally put $50 in it which doesnt FILL the tank but it gets it to 3/4....
Also im planning on changing my oxygen sensor cause that needs to be done anyway
Cheers everyone![]()
if ya fill the tank each time it should take out any moisture that forms. i personally wouldn't worry about it as mine to has some moisture uota the zorst but it runs fine, doesn't use any fluids so i'd just keep on motoring
