Default Clear taillights.... Yes or No?

Im asking if I should let Ben talk me into clear (not altezza roundish ones) taillights for the VN. These are just like factory ones but clear. Not 'altezza' style like VR/S ones.

What do you think?? I saw a white VP at RCK & it looked good. I have imperial blue VN & cus is a 'S' it has the black garnish....

what do you think?? Good, Bad, Ugly?

its hard to picture what it would look like with blue paint and black garnish it might look good but maybe it would look better with tinted taillight to match the garnish

id say no... i think the taillights look better darker not lighter. Ive seen a few black one's with the clears and it looks ok.... but only cos of the contrast.

    so... NO.

theres also a VN down the road here thats had the rear garnish removed & maybe cus it white I dunno, but it looks fantastic & I think the clear lights would really suit it. If I had a white VN I would definetly do that, remove garnish & do clear lights. I agree about VP's with the red garnish & clear lights, looks a little funny.

Should I just get them & throw them on??? Sell them if they look real crap??

Just a quick chop of my car to show clear rear lights. I think it's imperial blue and my garnish is pretty dark since I polished it I tried to get the lights pretty close to what they actually look like, but maybe still a bit grey. There you go anyway.

If it was me, i'd go the ones with just clear indicators and reverse lights. That way the rest of the lens has got close to the original tint. It's the best of both worlds IMO.

Now that'll look good, but I would tint it if the cars a dark colour, and for clear lens, I reckon will look good on a white or light blue colour.

Dont like em unless the car is white and the garnish is white as well. But they are illegal and ugly so no.

imo if you have the blck garnish, then tinted taillights are the only way to go. but if you have a colour coded garnish then it may look good.

I agree with most of the people above, tinted would look heaps better than the clear ones.

that was the same colour as the VN with clear taillights I looked at today, & I looked at it for awhile. But I think being an 'S' & that I have all that red pinstriping etc.... that all clear just wouldnt work, Im quite interested in this clear indicator idea thou. Basicaly red top & bottom clear middle right??

Do that Countess, the clear indicator one, that is! I don't know, I think the whole clear lights, look sorta cheap and crappy, but the clear indicator sounds good!
