Default Best glue for side protector strips on doors

    Hey all,

I was just wondering what people think is the best glue I can use to stick the protector strips back on my doors. Double sided tape seems to keep coming off, so I just want to get some really strong glue which won't ever come off.

    Cheers

P.S. I don't think it really matters, but just incase, I want to glue them back onto my dads VN Commodore.

Go to a panel beaters supplier and get some good double sided tape.

Also try to clean the surfaces with some prepsol.

You could try and get some sikaflex which is what Holden use on the thicker strips. But its a massive bitch if you ever want the stuff off...

Double sided tape top and bottom to keep dirt out and Sikaflex in the middle. Just put a spot at each end and one in the middle of the strip. Not one big line from one end to the other like holden did at the factory. Thats more than enough to hold it.

haha oh dear... I think you're right, that's probably never coming off

That's one thing I'll probably have to watch. I'll sit there and hold it myself for half an hour I think...
