Damn! How did you collect that sort of damage? That's bad luck especially after you got your car looking like it was. I would have thought that's definately repairable. New sill, guard and door probably though. You'll be amazed what a good body shop can do. I had a Vauxhall Nova that got stolen when it was about 3 years old. It came back on a recovery truck looking a bit banana shaped where it got smashed pretty hard in the passenger side but after it had been repaired it was like new again - better than before it got stolen!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! What happened! Bad month for commodore drivers I think. Does the pictures show the main damage or is there more unshown damage, does she still drive? Looks like a new door, QTR pannel, Sill and side skirt for you.

    1 new door, $150
    new guard $120
skirt is new, price is unknown, prob find a fiber glass caster to make a new mould for you

    paint, $70,

bottom part of door, do by hand bash out to roughly right shape, and use body repair stuff, sand, and re-paint, all in all, could be done yourself for under 500

Ah cheers everyone. A motorbike slid into me and both insurance companies are saying its not their problem...trying to pass it on to the other one.

So im getting a letter of demand organised and seeing how it goes. But if not, I just have to fix my car with my own money I guess

I was wondering the same in order to save your VZ flutes. Probably possible to cut the damaged bottom part off under the suage lines and tack the bottom of a good guard on then smooth it all over with filler.

I can help you out with a door for $50, and its white! Iv'e got 2 shells you could cut a sill from. No guards now but that could change by the end of the week. Also if the bike slid into you thens its there responsibility to make good your loss, even if someone else caused the biker to lose it. Get the payout to fix it then buy the parts cheaply and do it yourself, maybe just pay for the sill repair only.

Hmmm, I also sustained some sil damage too, so is the best option is to take it to the pannel beaters and they can fix it up good?

Im no panel beater but the only way to fix a sill would be slide hammer or pulling jig. They would weld little pins on the dents and pull on them. If its any more than minor damage welding on a new one would be the way to go.

    HOLY F*&^ *cries*
    sorry to see this man,

you'll have to bash it out the bottom of the door frame a bit then fill it with some thing good, cant remember the stuff they use (you see it on pimp my ride a bit with the dinged up cars)

the guard CAN be saved, mate those panels are flimsy, just get out off the car, and take it to a beater, they'll beable to beat it straight, then fill it again or get a new one and cut the flute out?

so what exactly happened, how did a bike slide into you? your fault or his?
    sad day for modified cars

you can get the skirts recast easy from the looks of it i dont think the skirt would be repairable

id say $500 if u did it yourself ish, but for a insurance quote id go with $1500ish

Yeah the sideskirt is not in good shape

He lost it on a corner, bike went on its side and slid straight forward into the side of my car...

Had my car not been lowered, he might gone right underneath and been roadkill by now!

The only time consuming thing will be tacking on a new sill panel, but it's not the end of the world, you just cut the old spot welds out and pull it off, put the new one on and weld. Then just bolt your new door and gaurd on and your mint again. You can get VN gaurds and doors for almost nothing, but you might want to bog the gaurd or weld a new bit on the bottom if your VZ flutes are important to you

Floor pan hasnt been bent by the looks so I was lucky in that sense...

Definitely wanna save the guard for the VZ flute... So will get that repaired. Its just shit im gonna have to wait for insurance to get around to paying out probably in 2 weeks.
