    Exclamation misfire?

ok so when i take of from 5km/h or under with my foot to the floor the car just rolls along and sorta sounds like its missing and putts n sputters for about 5 seconds then it picks up revs a bit n then goes like normal..... and some times if i doing between 30 -60k's and drop it in to 2 it goes like a cut cat n just luanches and other times(in the same conditions) it'll just rev up a bit n slowly accelerate ...not sure why this is or if the 2 problemsare related.

I don't know much bout these cars but i think it maybe coil packs, spark plugs or leads, any one with any ideas, i don't wanna fork out on a bunch of parts i dont need.

    cheers Steve

Hmm, yea. When was the last time you changed the leads and sparkplugs, atleast take the plugs out and have a look how dirty they are.

Yeah, injector cleaner is good, good to do on a regular baisis too! Get some Nulon Fuel injector cleaner (red in colour) and get a full tank of premium petrol. Fuel injector cleaner is susposed to treat 2 tanks, but put the whole bottle in with 1 tank, works beter that way. It wont hurt anything, ive even put 1 Litre of metho, $20 premium fuel , a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and a bottle of Nulon octane booster in at once and she ran goooood!

its not i don't know what he's talking about. maybe he meant repairing a coil or dfi module. switching the coil is as easy as unscrwing the 6 torx screws on the pack and switching the new coils with the old..

yeah well when you add it up for the long run there is a big advantage with msd. Obviously better ignition timing, but they got 3 coils inside each pack( if one f#cks up there are two left in each pack for backup) There about $75 for one. $75x 3 = $225. One genuine holden coild pack costs $100 so if you have to buy 3 thats $300. msd saves you $75 and works better.
